Surfing on a Full Moon Weekend

Pinoy Nomads is holding a surfing trip during a Full Moon Weekend! 16-17 August 2008

Want to learn the basics of surfing and experience finally balancing yourself on a surfboard in the middle of a wave?

We're organizing a surfing trip to San Juan, La Union , inclusions are as follows:

- 2 hours one-on-one surfing lessons
- accommodations
- roundtrip van transportation
- meals

For more information, email us at pinoynomads@gmail.com or visit our site at http://pinoynomads.multiply.com/

I am looking forward to this trip. Surfing on a full moon!

I love surfing! I have been surfing on and off for the past two years. Believe me, surfing twice or thrice a year does not make me an expert at this point. I was told I need to spend about a month just surfing to really learn.

In addition to this trip I am also looking forward to the international competition in Siargao this September --- the Billabong Cloud Nine Invitational. I have already booked tickets, I have a couple of girlfriends who might join me... I am just so excited to go back to Siargao and watch those surfer dudes who can really surf.

More trips coming up!

Explore Cagayan Valley

Explore one of Luzon's novel destinations, Cagayan Valley. This trip is scheduled on 12-14 September 2008.

Visit the caves of Penablanca which includes the famous Callao and Sierra Caves. Witness the circadian flight of bats at night after swimming at the calm waters of Pinacanauan de Tuguegarao river. Discover the Batanes-like landscape of Palaui Island and view the China Sea and the Pacific Ocean from the Cape Engano Lighthouse. Swim in the white sand beaches of Anguib Cove.

Trip inclusions:

- Transportation

- full board meals and airconditioned accommodation

- Banca rides, cave fees, guide fees
- Travel insurance during the trip

Rate: Php 5500

I have been to this trip and it is AMAZING. I never really thought that there's so much to see on this side of Luzon. Although I have heard of the Callao Caves, I didn't really think it would be this amazing. It's a photographer's dream, with its seven chambers, the light streaming through the mountain's crevices, the incredible formations... See the post on the North Luzon Adventure: Photography Series and see how you can join this incredible expedition with photographer/mentor Michelle Morelos. Learn how to maximize your photography skills in an actual hands-on and traveling photography class.

Palaui Island also reminded me of Batanes; it's mixture of the tropics and temperate-like cliffs and grasslands. There is an amazing working lighthouse on top of the hill called Cape Engano. Across the hill one can see a couple of rock formations known as the Dos Hermanos.

The island is undeveloped, hence, visitors need to stay at the nearby Port Sta. Ana and check into the resorts there. In addition to Palaui Island, a banca ride can take visitors through a mangrove sanctuary and then on to Anguib Cove, a white sand beach island which can rival the waters of Boracay Island minus the crowd and the development.

Pinoy Nomads' trip includes all these conveniences and the sites. Not to worry too much how to get from one point to the next, especially when you are pressed for time. A perfect weekend get-away!
